The heart of the Alfa Spider is its engine, and Alfa have created three truly stunning units, two petrol and one turbodiesel, all Euro 4 compliant: the 3.2 JTS V6, the 2.2 JTS and the 2.4 JTDM.
With 260 bhp, the 3.2 JTS V6 is Alfa’s most powerful engine, and is paired with Q4 permanent four-wheel drive. It is available with the Q-Tronic 6-speed automatic gearbox, with different driving modes designed to suit the driving style adopted. For sportier performance there is the Sport mode, while Winter mode is used in poor grip conditions, or there is Sequential mode that allows the driver to shift gear manually using the gear lever or steering wheel levers.

Equally advanced is the 2.2 JTS 185 bhp, with four cylinders, twin overhead camshaft, and 16 valves with phase variator.
Lastly, there is the 2.4 JTDM turbodiesel. It combines the power of its 210 bhp with the utmost reliability and respect for the environment, thanks to the adoption of a ‘for life’ diesel particulate filter as standard.
