Government Scrappage Scheme

• If you own a car that’s 10 yeard old or over it could be worth £2000 towards the cost of a brand new Alfa Romeo! We want to start replacing older cars with a safer, more economical and environmentally-friendly generation of models, such as the recently launched Alfa Romeo MiTo. The new Government Scrappage Scheme applies to cars first registered on or before 29 February 2000, and the payment is available when you trade in against a brand new cars.
  
  Your old vehicle must have been registered to you for at least 12 months preceding the purchase of the vehicle and be MOT’d, taxed and insured.
  
  Scrap Scheme summary:
  
  • Cars to scrap must be 10 years old or over (registered on or before 29 Feb 2000)
  • The car purchased must be brand new
  • Buyer must have owned and been registered keeper for at least 12 months
  • Car being scrapped must have a current tax disc and MOT test certificate
  • Your dealership will arrange all paperwork, checks and scrapping of the old car
