Safety in all conditions

• Upon request, Alfa Romeo cars can be equipped with Xenon headlights with a low-beam and distance function, that offer better light emission quality and excellent results in all atmospheric conditions. In fact, in this gas discharge light the traditional headlight filament is replaced by two electrodes a few millimetres apart that generate an electrovoltaic charge in an area saturated with low-pressure Xenon. Compared with normal halogen lamp headlights, these devices triple the light intensity and the hours of duration.

  

  Fari Bi_Xenon

  Standard on all Alfa Romeo models, this device uses the front dipped headlights to let the driver keep the lights on for a period of time that he can choose, from 30 seconds to 2.5 minutes, after having parked and locked the car. This extremely useful function is activated when the engine is turned off by clicking the light lever from 1 to 5 times (each click corresponds to 30 seconds of light). This is quite convenient if the car is used is particularly dark areas where light is needed to find a switch or a door.

  The optional Home Link device on the 159 enables the driver to open a maximum of 3 doors and/or electric gates from inside the car, ensuring maximum safety for the driver, who can stay in their car and open an electric gate or a garage door by pressing a button on the sun visor without having to look for any remote controls.
